Do you offer in-person saxophone lessons in NYC?

Yes! Brooklyn Saxophone Studio will send their instructor to your home for lessons in New York City (Brooklyn, Manhattan or Queens). In person lessons are scheduled on weekdays during the day for adults or after school for students.

Can I take saxophone lessons online?

Yes, Brooklyn Saxophone Studio offers virtual lessons via FaceTime, Zoom, and Skype.

Where do I get my first saxophone?

What kind of Saxophone should I start with?

The biggest consideration when deciding which saxophone to start with is size, and the next one is playability. For most students alto saxophone is a great place to start because it is a manageable size, and not too difficult to play. Tenor saxophone is ok too, as long as the student is tall enough to hold it comfortably.

How old do you need to be to start learning saxophone?

If you are old enough to hold a saxophone you’re old enough to learn to play. Every kid is different so there are no strict rules about age at Brooklyn Saxophone Studio, but in general, most students 8 years and older should have no problem diving in.
